Les Hadfield
It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of our great friend and mentor Les Hadfield. As a SAM member for over 37 years Les faithfully served the biker community in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. He helped many bikers and Observers to achieve and maintain the advanced motorcycling standards set out by IAM RoadSmart. The guidance that he gave to Associates, Members and bikers of all types, ensured that we can ride more skillfully and safely on increasingly challenging roads and riding conditions. It is only recently that, due to ill health, Les had to resign from the SAM Committee and as our Chief National Observer. The heartfelt sympathy of all SAM Club members goes to his family at this very sad time.
