Your SAM newsletter this week is packed full of interesting news. The Traffic Accident Commission has a new safety video for you to share. According to new IAM research, driver attitudes to speeding are changing. I’m not sure how generalised this change has become, but what are your thoughts? There is a very nice story about a lady biker’s adventure ride. Do you own a dog? Drivers could face a fine of £5,000 for not having it secured. I don’t think that anybody has told the dogs. The SYP Off Road Team have been very busy, so you can read all about their adventures. The Curvy Riders Club have been looking at leaning into corners. In Europe, the Swedish Government has cancelled speed reduction proposals. If you are looking for a rare part for either a current or the next project, there is a Auto/Retro Jumble in Huddersfield. Finally, if you and your bike are feeling photogenic, why not sign up for a photo shoot with RidePics Motorcycle Photography. Details are give below, including map coordinates! If you do get some good pics of you and your bike – well your bike anyway – upload them to the SAM Annual Photo Competition.
Whilst you are all out and about, have some fun, just stop and take a snap to upload or send in for the SAM Annual Photo Competition. The entry form is set up on the website. You can upload up to 10 images, in either *.jpg or *.png format. Don’t forget to give a number and label to each photo in the text box. Our security ensures that only suitable images are uploaded and will rename the file to prevent any subsequent access to it. You can upload your entries here, or send them to sam-editor@iam-sheffield.bike. The winner will be announced at the SAM AGM in April.
