This SAM Face Mask design was kindly shared by SAM member Pete Harley.
It appears that we may be asked to start wearing facemasks soon. Clearly, we don’t want to cause problems with the supply of masks for NHS and care workers so here’s a plan for a mask that uses things that we all have lying around as motorcyclists. The plan is based on one produced by the University of Hong Kong and is claimed to catch 90% of the airborne particles that YOU produce through breathing, coughing and sneezing – it will not give as good protection against other people’s bugs but is better than nothing.
