Motorcycling enjoyed another positive week, with Europe’s motorcycle market continuing strong growth during 2026 and the UK sharing in rising registrations. Manufacturers remain focused on new motorcycles, advanced electronics and electric technology, while safety stays high on the political agenda.
The World Health Organization has highlighted falling global road deaths but says continued progress depends on better rider training and safer transport systems. Meanwhile, UK industry groups continue calling for simpler motorcycle licensing that improves rider competence without discouraging newcomers. Riders heading to Spain should also prepare for new motorcycle equipment requirements later this year.
