Judge’s Comments

“Much better overall standard this year which makes it more difficult to pick the winner. As usual lots of exotic places visited and also some interesting subjects , such as “What ya reckon lads”. But, rather boringly, (I) have again gone for photographic criteria.”
1st.   Portee, Skye

Good overall composition, tree bike and buildings working together, excellent exposure ( bike and background both perfectly exposed) and that Skye sky a winner.

2rd  Errigal

Love the dramatic landscape and  lighting/atmosphere created by the weather conditions plus the unusual  viewpoint from the bike

3rd. On the track

One of the different subjects. Not easy to nail the focus on a fast moving subject but they did. Maybe a little tightly cropped and wider aperture would have helped to blur background more, but overall a good shot.
