Whiteknights (South Yorkshire)
Car Appeal
What we do and why:
Whiteknights (South Yorkshire) is a charity helping YOUR local front-line NHS service to keep going. Our FREE dispatch rider service deliver blood, tissue samples and other vital supplies to hospitals, care homes, hospices and laboratories. Saving front-line clinical services time and money. Our unpaid, highly skilled, volunteers provide an out of hours service, weekdays 7pm to 7am, throughout weekends and all Bank Holidays.
We rely on YOUR donations to keep our services going. Our highly trained, dedicated riders and drivers could not continue without YOUR support. You can help them to make a difference when people using the local NHS need it.
Why do we need a car?
Despite our best efforts, in very severe weather it is just too risky to take a bike on the road. The vital work that our volunteer riders do for the NHS needs to continue. Premature babies need breast milk, accident victims need blood, doctors need laboratory specimens analysed quickly and patients need medications. This is just some of the tasks we provide for FREE. It doesn’t cost the NHS anything to use our voluntary services.
Can you help us to get a car for the winter of 2023/2024? You’ll be helping to support your LOCAL NHS.
YOU TOO CAN HELP YOUR LOCAL NHS
